Marjorie Stewart-Hart has extensive work experience in patient engagement and advocacy roles. Marjorie is currently the Vice President of Patient Engagement and Advocacy at Sage Therapeutics, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Patient Advocacy at Sage Therapeutics starting in December 2017.
Before joining Sage Therapeutics, Marjorie worked at Shire where they served as the Head of U.S. and R&D Patient Advocacy from March 2017 to December 2017. Marjorie also held the role of Director of Patient Advocacy Relations - Rare Diseases from July 2016 to March 2017.
Marjorie started their career at Biogen in 2009 and held several positions. Marjorie was an Associate Director of Advocacy Relations - Rare Diseases from November 2014 to July 2016. Marjorie also worked as an Associate Director of Advocacy Relations and Associate Director of Nursing Strategy and Operations at Biogen. Additionally, they served as the Leader of Service Operations from January 2009 to May 2012.
Prior to Biogen, Marjorie worked at Nortel in various operations and leadership roles. Marjorie was the Director of Emergency Recovery from March 2008 to January 2009 and served as an Operations Leader from September 2006 to March 2008. Marjorie also held positions such as Sr. Manager of Technology & Service Introduction - Operations, Technology & Service Introduction Leader - Operations, Strategic Manager for Wireless Documentation Process and Quality Enhancements, and Sr. Manager of Training and Documentation.
Marjorie Stewart-Hart obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of North Texas, graduating between 1982 and 1986. Later, between 2006 and 2008, they completed an Executive Program in Operations Leadership at North Carolina State University. In addition to their formal education, Marjorie also received a Living Proof Advocacy Coaching Certification from Living Proof Advocacy in December 2019.
