Mike Eros has extensive work experience in geoscience operations. Mike is currently serving as the Chief Geoscientist at Sage Geosystems, where they manage geoscience operations for a renewable energy startup company and collaborates with public and private partners across various regions globally. Prior to this, they worked at ExxonMobil as an Exploration Geoscientist and Technical Team Lead, leading subsurface characterization and integrated play assessment in Guyana/Suriname and other major fields operated by partners. Mike also served as a Senior Geologist and Operations Geoscientist team lead, providing horizontal drillwell geosteering and 3D subsurface well planning, reservoir characterization for water disposal and reservoir continuity, recompletions, and stimulations for several fields. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Exploration Geologist at ExxonMobil Exploration Company, where they interpreted geological and geophysical data for oil and gas prospect maturation and led exploration subsurface operations. Mike also worked as a researcher, GIS technician, and assistant editor in different organizations.
Mike Eros received their Bachelor's degree in Geosciences and African and Middle Eastern Studies from Williams College in 2004. Mike went on to obtain their Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of California, Davis between 2006 and 2009. In 2015, they received a certificate in the ExxonMobil Business Enterprise Leadership Program from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. No end year was provided for this program.
