Jo Scanlan's work experience includes roles at several organizations.
They started their career in 2009 as a Lab Assistant at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, where they focused on processing horticultural samples with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

Additionally, Jo has completed additional certifications in Introduction to Genomic Technologies from Coursera, obtained in April 2023, and Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) from the Washington State Health Care Authority.
