Pat Paxton currently serves as Senior Vice President of Content at Saga Communications, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Paxton was with Audacy, Inc. from 1999 to December 2021, where leadership as Chief Programming Officer involved driving the development of innovative audio content spanning broadcast, digital formats, podcasts, and events. Earlier experience includes roles as Vice President of Programming and Director of Adult Contemporary & Top 40 Programming at Zapolean Media Strategies from 1997 to 1999, and National Program Director at Nationwide Communications from 1993 to 1997, overseeing all content and branding for KHMX in Houston. Pat Paxton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of South Dakota and a Certificate in Organizational Leadership from The Wharton School.
