Oliver Portius-Klimmt is a Senior Technical Sales Manager at Safic-Alcan since December 2022. Prior to this role, Oliver served as a Projektingenieur at FILK Freiberg Institute gGmbH from September 2017 to December 2022, where responsibilities included leading research and development projects, securing funding for these initiatives, and focusing on sustainable systems, compound formulation, property adjustment, extrusion, calendaring processing, and composite development. Earlier experience includes working as a scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS from April 2014 to July 2017, where tasks involved the modification of polymer surfaces, application of thin films, surface analytics, mechanical testing of layered composites, and the commissioning of industrial modification systems. Oliver holds a Master of Science in Polymer Materials Science from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and a Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer and Plastics Technology from Hochschule Merseburg.
