Walter Wang has a strong background in engineering and software development. walter began their career at Northrop Grumman in 2005, where they worked as an R&D Engineer for twelve years. In this role, they conducted research and development for autonomous unmanned vehicles, assessed technologies, and developed proof of concept systems. In 2017, Walter joined Hyperloop One as an Algorithm Engineer, where they were responsible for developing algorithms. walter worked in this position until 2022. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at SafeAI, Inc., a position they started in February 2022.

Walter Wang has a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, which they obtained from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in the years 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended UC Irvine from 1998 to 2002 to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering. After completing their Master's, they decided to further their education and earned an MBA with a specialization in Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business from 2006 to 2009.
