Chris Kennel

Vice President Technical Operations at Safe Systems

Chris Kennel has held various technical and management positions throughout their work experience. Chris began their career in 2001 with the Air National Guard as NCOIC, Cyber Systems Operations, where they were responsible for leading and training a team in designing, configuring, installing, and managing data services. Chris retired from this role in 2021.

In 2004, they joined DataPath, Inc. as a Senior Customer Service Engineer, providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers. Chris remained in this position until 2010.

From 2010 to 2011, Chris worked as a Field Engineer at TeleCommunication Systems, focusing on maintenance, operation, and performance support of satellite earth terminals. Chris also provided training and mentored new hires in the field.

In 2011, they held the role of Support Engineer at General Dynamics, where they were responsible for the rollout of the USMC Support Wide Area Network (SWAN). Chris worked closely with the project manager to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.

From 2011 to 2014, Chris served as a Senior Customer Service Engineer at Rockwell Collins, providing customer support in their technical capacity.

Since 2014, they have been working at Safe Systems, starting as a Project Manager and eventually progressing to Director of Project Management. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Technical Operations. Additional information about their roles at Safe Systems was not provided.

Chris Kennel attended Georgia Southern University from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Information Systems. In 2002, they also spent a year in the United States Air Force, where they studied Computer, Network, and Cryptographic Switching Systems as an apprentice. In 2014, Chris pursued further education in the United States Air Force as a Cyber Surety Apprentice. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Project+, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master, Security+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
