Liz S. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in knowledge management and community engagement, currently serving as a Senior Knowledge and Community Specialist at Safe Software since April 2017. In this role, Liz educates FME users through the development of course manuals and articles, and oversees content curation within the online community. Additional experience includes roles as a Barista at Daniels Chocolates, a GIS Technician and Web Designer, and a Delivery Planning Officer at Canada Post, where Liz utilized mapping techniques to plan community mailbox placements. Liz's earlier positions include guiding snowshoe trips at Alpha Adventures and creating GIS mapping systems for utility location at Fuji Pipe Locators LTD. Liz has held leadership roles, such as President of the BGIS Student Club, and has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Shambhala Hoods. Liz holds a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Geographic Information Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Medicine Hat College.
