Dan Denton began their work experience in 2001 as a Sales Representative at Hillmer's Luggage, Leather & Gifts, where they assisted customers with merchandise selection and provided friendly customer support. Dan then worked as an Assistant Network Administrator and Sales representative at TFMComm, Inc. from 2004 to 2006, providing customer support for cellular phone companies and assisting with two-way radio sales. In 2007, they joined IT Handyman Corporation as an Intern. Later that year, they became the Software Development Lead at ProLink Solutions, where they managed multiple direct reports and led teams of developers on various projects for financial and government agencies. Dan worked on software development using C#, Microsoft MVC, ASPX Web Services, WebAPI Services, and WinForms applications. Dan also created development patterns, UI styling, unit test practices, and coding standards for the projects. In 2016, they became a Senior Software Engineer at ShopAtHome.com. In 2017, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Lead Software Engineer, where they managed a team working on the corporate legal product Legal Tracker and led the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering customer input to delivering and maintaining quality software. In 2019, they became a Principal Software Engineer at Safari Legal Technologies, where they used DDD and CQRS methodologies to deliver software that helps legal departments manage the lifecycle for service of process documents. Dan also improved security and reliability by replacing hard media or unsecured emails with the Safari Law SecureShareâ„¢ portal.
Dan Denton attended Colorado Christian University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. During the same time period, they also earned a second Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
