Tim Barfield is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as Chief of Police at the Wellington Police Department since November 2014. Tim contributes as a writer for LawOfficer.com and Policeone.com, alongside a long-standing role as Treasurer for the Local Initiative to Network Compassion of Lorain County, which supports individuals affected by addiction. Tim's career spans several decades, including significant positions at the Maple Heights Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. Additionally, Tim is a certified instructor for the SABRE Personal Safety Academy and has served on the Board of Directors for the Law Enforcement Training Trust until November 2022. Tim holds an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Lorain County Community College.
