Mehdi Mahmoodi is a seasoned expert in polymer processing and additive manufacturing, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at SABIC since April 2018. Previously held roles include Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where involvement in a major project focused on the design and manufacturing of complex parts using additive manufacturing techniques. Mehdi's extensive experience encompasses a Research Fellow position at the University of Calgary, where collaboration with various industrial partners led to significant advancements in plastic and composite materials. Earlier roles included a Post-doctoral Fellow and R&D Engineer at ShawCor, specializing in composite pipeline development, and an R&D Mechanical Engineer at SimaMoj Co., focusing on extrusion processes. Mehdi holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Manufacturing Engineering.
