Waseem Waheed has a diverse work experience spanning over decades. Waseem started their career as a Financial Analyst at ABN AMRO Equities (Private) Limited in 1995. After working there for two years, they moved on to Punjab Privatization Board, Government of Punjab in 1997. During their time there, they were solely responsible for all financial matters of the proposed companies on behalf of the privatization board. Waseem prepared state-owned entities for privatization and also made different strategies for divestiture of government holdings. In 2000, Waseem joined Robert Half/Accountemps as a Financial Analyst, where they worked until 2004. In 2005, they joined KPMG as a Manager, Financial Advisory Services, and stayed there for one year. Lastly, in 2006, they became the Director of Investment Banking at SAB Invest, where they have been working ever since.
Waseem Waheed has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, which they obtained in 1991. Waseem then pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan) and completed it in 1996. In 2002, Waseem received the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the American Institute of Chartered Public Accountants. Continuing their education, they passed the Level II examination offered by the CFA Institute in 2013, specializing in Finance and Investments.
