Franco Merletti has extensive experience in product development and research within the protection division of SAATI, serving as Product Development Manager and R&D and Technical Office Manager since November 2011. Responsibilities include developing innovative ballistic solutions, overseeing internal and external production processes of prepregs and laminates, and providing technical support to the sales department. Previously, Franco worked as an R&D Engineer, focusing on quality checks and testing solutions against various ballistic standards. Prior to SAATI, Franco held the position of Metallographic Laboratory Technician at Preventlab S.r.l., performing metallographic analyses on PCB assemblies. Franco holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Material Science from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and possesses a diploma in piano from Conservatorio Giacomo Puccini di Gallarate.
