Roger Barton has extensive experience in the technology and database management field, currently serving as a DBA at SA Power Networks since June 2012, following the company's name change from ETSA Utilities. Prior to this role, Roger was the Vice-President of the Australian Oracle User Group in South Australia from 2011 to December 2017 and worked as a DBA at ETSA from January 1988 to June 2012, specializing in Oracle databases from version 7.3. Additional roles include Senior Analyst Programmer, where Roger contributed to the Customer Billing System, and Analyst Programmer, focusing on various applications in COBOL. Roger began the career as a Graduate Programmer, developing software for the General Ledger team. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Studies obtained from the South Australian Institute of Technology between 1984 and 1987.
