Richard Lawrence has over 20 years of experience in product marketing and strategy. Richard began their career in 2001 as an independent consultant for Lawrence Consulting, where they provided services to clients such as Yahoo, iCrossing, WPP/Group M, Adobe/Omniture, eBay, MIVA/FindWhat.com, Media General, and Hearst.

In 2008, they joined Yahoo as the Head of Consumer Media Strategy, where they developed a methodology for determining the optimal allocation of Yahoo's $90 million consumer advertising budget across linear TV, video, social, cinema, and OOH. Richard also served as Senior Product Strategy Manager, where they were the product marketing lead for Yahoo's video/brand advertising initiative.

In 2016, Richard Lawrence moved to YuMe as the Senior Product Marketing Manager - Advanced TV Targeting and Measurement. During their time there, they launched the industry's first CPG closed-loop measurement solution for CTV with Nielsen Catalina and pioneered the industry's first advanced TV measurement solution with Nielsen and Comscore.

In 2018, they took on the role of Director of Product Marketing at VideoAmp. There, they launched the company's TV data platform to Omnicom, major brand advertisers, and DSPs.

Most recently, in 2019, Richard Lawrence joined Amazon as the Senior Product Marketing Manager/ Brand Solutions - Amazon Advertising. Richard created the narrative and positioning strategy to diversify Amazon Advertising from a performance advertising channel to a brand advertising solution. In 2021, they moved to S4 Capital Group as the Head of Linear and Advanced TV, where they created product strategy and founded global TV and OTT planning and buying practice.

Richard Lawrence attended Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Marketing Strategy. This was a one-year program of classes that contained MBA-level strategic marketing training. Prior to this, they attended California State University, Fullerton, majoring in Business Administration. In 2012, they obtained a Certification in Product Marketing Management from Sirius Decisions.
