Russell Mystiek has a long history of work experience. Russell started their career in 1999 as a Programmer Analyst II at Paramount Pictures, where they worked on accounting programs for monitoring costs and such to make movies and TV shows. In 2003, they worked as a Code Monkey for Scrutable Systems, sub-sub-sub contracting to The 401K Company which was in turned bought by Nationwide Insurance. In 2004, they became a Senior Programmer Analyst at Whole Foods Market. In 2006, they were the President at Austin Artistic Reconstruction, LLC. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Salsa Labs, Inc. In 2015, they became a Senior Software Developer at Gravitant, an IBM company. In 2016, they were an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM. In 2019, they were a Principal Database Developer at ClutchAnalytics. In 2020, they were a Database and Automation Engineer at Samsung Electronics. Currently, they are a Client Data Engineer at S3.

Russell Mystiek attended the University of Chicago from 1987 to 1991, where they earned an AB in Psychology.
