Kieran Murphy has over 30 years of work experience in finance and auditing. Kieran started their career at KPMG as an auditor from 1984 to 1988. Kieran then joined THE IRISH NEWS as a Financial Controller from 1991 to 2000, where they were later promoted to Head of Finance. During their time at THE IRISH NEWS, they played a significant role in strategic acquisitions, financial reporting, budgeting, and restructuring processes. In 2017, Kieran joined Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd as the Head of Finance Department.

Kieran Murphy completed a Diploma in Accountancy at Queen's University Belfast from 1983 to 1984. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Economics from Ulster University between 1980 and 1983. Additionally, Murphy attained a certification as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 1987.
