Michellea L. David has a diverse range of work experience in the field of database administration. Michellea L. began their career as an Oracle DBA at BenefitPoint in 2000, where they administered multiple database instances and performed tasks such as backup and recovery, tuning, scripting, and security. Michellea L. also gained experience in database migration and project management. From 2002 to 2004, they worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they administered Oracle and SQL Server databases, created OLTP and data warehouse databases, and executed a database migration.
In 2004, Michellea moved on to iBASEt as a Senior Software Engineer. Michellea L. transitioned to Carlson Wagonlit Travel in 2008, where they served as a Senior SQL Server and Oracle DBA. In this role, they administered development databases, collaborated with .net developers to enhance travel software, and utilized SSIS and TSQL for database management.
In 2015, they joined United Auto Credit Corporation as a Database Administrator II, where they oversaw production and development database environments, designed backup and recovery processes, and implemented the Always On infrastructure.
Michellea furthered their career at Mechanics Bank as a Manager of Database Admins, AVP, from 2016 to 2020. In this role, they managed a team of DBAs, saving the company significant consulting costs through internal expertise development. Simultaneously, they also served as a Database Administrator, responsible for the administration of production SQL Server databases and the recoding of SSIS ETLs for the Datawarehouse.
Michellea L. then moved on to Datavail in 2020 as a Senior DBA, before transitioning to Cedars-Sinai in 2022 as a Lead Database Administrator contract. At Cedars-Sinai, Michellea supported Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server environments, integrated and migrated newly acquired databases, and led a team of DBAs.
Most recently, Michellea has been with Jewelers Mutual Group as a Senior DBA - contract, and will be joining Ryan Specialty in 2023 as a Lead Database Administrator.
Michellea L. David completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1993. Prior to that, they attended Longview High School from 1985 to 1989. Later on, Michellea pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from Regis University, graduating in 2003. Michellea L. also obtained additional certifications, including Microsoft 70-462 Admin Sql Server in 2016, Microsoft 70-461 Querying Sql Server in 2014, and Oracle 10g: Sql fundamentals in 2003.
