Emma Palmer has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Emma started their career as a Dispute Resolution Team Secretary at Baker & McKenzie in 2004. Emma then worked at Royal Bank of Scotland as a KYC Analyst specializing in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing. Emma later joined Renaissance Capital as a Compliance Officer in Investment Banking. Emma joined Burges Salmon LLP in 2009 and held various positions, including Risk and Best Practice Manager and Head of Risk and Best Practice. Emma'smost recent role is as Director of Risk and Best Practice at RWK Goodman, where they oversee various compliance and risk management responsibilities, including team management, GDPR compliance, and conducting investigations.
Emma Palmer completed their education at two institutions. From 2007 to 2009, they attended BPP Professional Education in London, where they obtained a CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance, with a focus on FSA/Investment Banking Compliance. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2002, they studied at the University of Plymouth, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with honors (2:1) in Geography with Law.
