A noise and vibration consultant with a background in geophysics, Alex specialises in the prediction, measurement, and analysis of groundborne noise and vibration data, providing services to clients such as HS2 (Align JV, EKFB, SCS), BP, and Equinor. He is experienced in acoustics modelling and data processing methods, alongside British Standards such as BS 5228 and BS 6472, with examples such as the assessment of large-scale tunnelling activities under residential properties at locations along the High Speed 2 route. Alex provides consent applications and vibration risk assessments as well as undertaking specialist construction noise and vibration monitoring at sensitive locations. His previous geophysical experience focussed on the processing of seismic data for a major clients in the oil and gas sector, and he is the co-author of a published paper on seismic attribute analysis.
