Ingólfur Bjarni Sigfússon has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as Editor of Kveikur, RÚV's award-winning investigative TV series since January 2006. Prior roles at RÚV include Senior Correspondent, where Ingólfur worked as an investigative and field reporter for Kveikur, earning nominations for the Icelandic Press Awards in 2019 and 2022. As Head of Online and New Media, Ingólfur led the department responsible for RÚV’s digital presence and collaborated with public institutions. Additionally, Ingólfur has a background in news management as Deputy Head of News and Head of Foreign News, where strategic enhancements to foreign news coverage were implemented. Earlier career experience includes serving as Foreign News Editor at 365. Ingólfur holds a Magister Artium in Political Science from Leipzig University and a Stúdentspróf from Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík.
