Jamie Hooper is an experienced Automation Team Leader at Rutland Plastics since April 2022, previously holding positions as a Software and Controls Engineer at Star and Automation Engineer at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains. Jamie's career at Mercedes AMG spanned over six years, with roles in Build Support and Automation and as an ERS Technician, focusing on the development and build of e-motors and power electronics modules. Prior experience includes working as an Aircraft Electrician at both BAE Systems and the Royal Air Force, and as a Mathematical Statistician for The Scottish Government. Jamie holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Physics from Strathclyde University, as well as HNCs in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Teesside University.
