Samantha Van Gilder is an experienced program manager currently working at Rustic Pathways since May 2017, specializing in global teen adventure travel and community service programs. In addition, Samantha serves as a program leader and art director at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Grand Rapids, fostering creativity among youth. Since September 2016, Samantha has contributed as a loaned executive for the Heart of West Michigan United Way, supporting fundraising campaigns for various agencies. As a substitute teacher for Grand Rapids Public Schools since February 2016, Samantha has engaged with elementary students. Previously, Samantha held the position of communications officer at Challenging Heights, documenting efforts to combat child trafficking in Ghana, and completed a community relations internship at Africa Atlantic, facilitating social impact projects in agricultural, educational, and health sectors. Samantha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Grand Valley State University, obtained in 2013.
