Linda Norman

Corporate Head of Customer, Digital & Collection Services at RUNNYMEDE BOROUGH COUNCIL

Linda Norman has been the corporate head of customer, digital, and collection services at Runnymede Borough Council since 2017. Prior to that, they were group head of finance and customer relations at Spelthorne Borough Council from 2011 to 2017, where they were responsible for overall operational and strategic direction for finance, revenues, elections, communications, customer services, and office services. This included leadership, managing people and performance, improving services, creating and seizing opportunities to deliver savings, efficiencies and generate income.

Before their time at Spelthorne Borough Council, Norman was a revenues manager and principal revenues & benefits officer (systems administrator) at the council from 2003 to 2011. In these roles, they were responsible for designing service delivery around customer needs and delivering value for money and financial stability.

Norman is part of Spelthorne’s senior management team and deputises for Deputy Chief Executive as required. Linda keeps abreast of economic, legislative and social developments affecting Local Government in general and service areas in particular.

Linda Norman has a diploma in management studies from Kingston University and an intermediate pass of IRRV from IRRV. Linda also has A levels in biology, chemistry and maths from Lampton School in Hounslow.

Linda Norman reports to Paul Turrell, CEO & Head of Paid Service. They are on a team with Ashley Smith - Corporate Head of Development Management & Building Control, Darren Williams - Corporate Head of Community Services, and Andy Vincent - Corporate Head of Housing.
