Matthew Skolaut has worked in the field of robotics and engineering since 2013. Matthew began their career as a Software Developer at 221 Robotics Systems in 2013. In 2015, they started working as a Technician at the Engineering Innovation Center at A&M University, where they machined parts for engineering design projects and taught classes in LabVIEW, MATLAB, and other skills. Matthew also advised individuals on design projects. In 2017, they began working as a Student Ambassador at MathWorks and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Texas A&M University EDPLab, where they designed large scale simulations to test SLAM methods in various environments and worked on integrating software with ROS (Robotic Operating System) and integrating hardware with ROS. In 2018, they started working as a Computer Engineer at Essentium, Inc. and, in 2022, they began working as a Robotics Software Engineer at Rugged Robotics.
Matthew Skolaut attended Texas A&M University from 2015 to 2019 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics.
