Kees Lensing is a highly experienced rugby professional, currently serving as the Forward Coach at Rugby United New York since August 2018, specializing in scrum, forward, and defense coaching. With a strong coaching background, Lensing has also worked as the Scrum, Defense, and Breakdown Coach for Canon Eagles Rugby Union in Tokyo since May 2015, contributing to the team's impressive sixth-place finish in the Japanese Top League. Previously, Lensing held various coaching roles, including Forward Coach at Investec International Rugby Academy and Head Coach at Blue Bulls Tuks Rugby Academy. As a former professional rugby player, Lensing played as a prop from 1999 to 2010, including leadership roles as Team Captain for Namibia in the 2007 Rugby World Cup and participation in multiple international leagues. Lensing holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Stellenbosch University and has received training from World Rugby.
