Meagan Bodin, HTL(ASCP)CM has a diverse work experience. In 2012, they worked as a Dietary Aide at GRACE HEALTHCARE. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Guest Service Co-worker at Kwik Trip, Inc. and a Biology Tutor and Anatomy and Physiology Teaching Assistant and Tutor at University of Wisconsin-Stout. In 2019, they joined HistoTox Labs as a Histotechnologist, where they assisted with grossing/necropsy, decalcification, processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and immunohistochemical staining, in-situ hybridization, and slide scanning. In 2020, they worked as a Retail Sales Specialist at REI. In 2021, they worked as a Histology Technologist at Ventura County Medical Center, where they routinely processed, embeded, cut, and stained 90-100 blocks daily. Currently, they are a Research Associate II at Rubedo Life Sciences, where their role involves assisting with in-vivo takedown of mouse tissues, performing literature reviews of antibodies and tissues for the antibody validation and optimization process, fresh/frozen cyrosectioning and FFPE microtomy, stain mouse and human tissue slides with routine, special, and immunohistochemical assays (manually and automated), scanning stained tissue sections with the Zeiss Axioscan, performing image analysis using Visiopharm, and creating and presenting interpretations of subsequent data.
Meagan Bodin, HTL(ASCP)CM, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout between 2012 and 2016. Meagan then attended the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences for Histology from 2016 to 2017. In May 2017, they obtained a Histotechnologist (ASCP) certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Meagan is currently attending NOLS for a Wilderness First Responder certification.
