Tracy Archie serves as RGRTA's Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Officer. She leads the Authority’s DEI strategy and is focused on driving lasting cultural and behavioral change. Tracy’s work includes implementing DEI initiatives, serving as a strategic partner to the Authority’s leaders, and helping the organization strengthen its capacity to live its mission and values by fostering an anti-racist, diverse, equitable, and inclusive community of belonging. She is also focused on building and establishing partnerships with members of the community to increase access and opportunity for all people. Additionally, Tracy represents RGRTA on the American Public Transportation Association Racial Equity Commitment Signatories Group, which helps member agencies like RGRTA advance racial equity within their organizations.
Prior to joining RGRTA, Tracy built a career in higher education with the State University of New York (SUNY) and the private sector that spanned more than 25 years. She served in roles including administration, management, affirmative action, multi-cultural affairs, training, and instruction. She most recently served as a senior executive, Chief Diversity Officer, and Title IX Coordinator at SUNY Erie in Buffalo, NY. She also served at Finger Lakes Community College as Coordinator of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Other stops on her journey included Monroe Community College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Nazareth College, and the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection.
Tracy obtained a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from SUNY Buffalo. She has also earned certifications from the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED), and University of South Florida DEI in the Workplace.
