Kate Ryland is a skilled research and development professional with a background in biomaterials and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as a Research and Development Intern at RTI Surgical® since June 2023, Kate has contributed to the advancement of demineralized bone matrix allografts, conducting essential assays and leading feasibility studies while ensuring FDA regulatory compliance. Previous experience includes roles as a Clinical Trials Research Assistant at the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases, a Biomaterials Research Co-Op at Arthrex, an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, a Product Development Intern at Amend Surgical, Inc., and a Pediatric Pulmonology Student Assistant at Shands at the University of Florida. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the same institution.
