Joe Cheng is the CTO and Software Engineer at RStudio PBC. Joe has a successful track record in developing innovative software solutions, including building a browser-based IDE for the R programming language and creating the Shiny web framework for R. Prior to RStudio, Joe worked at Microsoft as a Senior Development Lead for Windows Live Writer. Joe also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Onfolio, Inc., where Joe developed a browser add-in for IE and Firefox. Joe holds a BS in Management - Information Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
