Martin Brennan currently serves as the Head of Research and Innovation at the International Union of Railways (UIC), a position held since August 2018, where research and innovation are key activities. Previous roles include Senior Research Policy Manager at RSSB, Principal Consultant at Lloyd's Register, and Executive Consultant at DeltaRail. Martin Brennan also held the position of Director of Freight Regulation at the Office of the Rail Regulator and worked in various capacities at British Rail from September 1977 to February 1994. Educational background includes a BA Hons in Geography from the University of Exeter, completed between 1974 and 1977, and attendance at Mcauley School from 1970 to 1974.
