Francis Flanagan is an experienced ecological professional currently serving as the Peatlands Project Manager and previously as a Conservation Officer for RSPB since February 2020. Flanagan is the Director of Flanagan Ecology, an ecological consultancy in Northern Ireland, focusing on protected species surveys and ecological appraisals since April 2008. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Ecologist at WYG Group, and Team Leader for the Warwickshire & Worcestershire Land Management at Natural England, where responsibilities included managing Sites of Special Scientific Interest and providing conservation advice. Additional roles encompassed ecological support at Worcestershire County Council and English Nature. Francis Flanagan holds a Master of Arts in Countryside and Environmental Management from the University of Aberdeen.
