Avril Chester is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Avril is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. In addition, they are an Author at Tech Treats & Treasures, where they create content with other leaders in the field. Avril is also the Founder of Cancer Central UK, a healthtech cancer platform that utilizes AI to provide support and information for those impacted by cancer. Avril has dedicated numerous hours to develop this platform and make it a go-to resource for cancer-related information. Avril has also served as an Advisory Board member for HotTopics.ht and as the Chief Technology Officer at RIBA until May 2022. Prior to their current roles, they were the Director of KANIAVE LIMITED and Vice Chair & Board Trustee at The Advocacy People. Avril has also displayed their passion for technology through their podcast series, "3 Digital Amigos," and their book, "Taking That Leap of Faith." Avril Chester attended The British School of Brussels from 1988 to 1994. Avril then went on to Varndean College from 1994 to 1996. Finally, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in MediaLab Arts from the University of Plymouth from 1996 to 2000.
