Davy Depelchin

Curator 19th-century Painting And Sculpture – Curator Of The Wiertz Museum And The Meunier Museum at Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium

Davy Depelchin serves as the Curator of 19th-Century Painting and Sculpture at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium since February 2019, also overseeing the Wiertz Museum and the Meunier Museum. Prior to this, Davy held independent curatorial roles from October 2017 to January 2019 and taught as a University Lecturer at Open Universiteit from October 2017 to May 2018. Previously, Davy was a Researcher at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium from September 2009 to March 2016, contributing as a Belgian Science Policy Office Scholar and exhibition Curator. Davy holds a PhD in Art History from Ghent University, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Art History from the same institution, supplemented by studies at Université libre de Bruxelles and KU Leuven.
