Steven D Wexner MD PhD(Hon) is a distinguished figure in the field of colorectal surgery, currently serving as Editor in Chief for Surgery since June 2020. With extensive experience, Steven Wexner holds multiple leadership roles, including Communications Consultant, Vice Chair of the Board of Regents, and Regent at the American College of Surgeons since October 2012. Other notable positions include Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Honorary Professor at University College London, and Chair of the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer. Steven Wexner has been Professor and Chair of the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida since July 1988, where a $5 million gift facilitated the establishment of the Ellen Leifer Shulman and Steven Shulman Digestive Disease Center.
