Barbara Carey is an accomplished specialist in Oral Medicine with extensive experience, currently serving as Deputy Chair of the Head & Neck Cancer MDT and Consultant in Oral Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since March 2016. In addition to their clinical roles, Barbara is the Oral Cancer Education Lead at Guy's Cancer Academy and an Oral Medicine Specialist at Harley Street Specialist Hospital. Barbara has held various important educational and leadership roles, including Treasurer for the British & Irish Society of Oral Medicine, Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and Region 1 Representative for the European Association of Oral Medicine. Barbara's educational background includes degrees from Trinity College Dublin, Queen Mary University of London, King's College London, and the University College Cork.
