Steve Eker has extensive experience in commissioning and managing services within the public sector, particularly in adult social care. Currently serving as Commissioning Manager for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead since February 2019, Steve oversees the contract and performance metrics for the Local Authority Trading Company, Optalis. Prior to this role, Steve worked at Bracknell Forest Council as a Joint Commissioning and Better Care Fund Programme Officer, focusing on health and social care integration. Previous positions include Services Development Manager at Age UK Surrey and Community Services Team Manager at Surrey Heath Borough Council, where Steve managed services for older people. Steve's earlier career includes roles related to property management and development at British Airways and in government property management. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Estates Management from London South Bank University.
