Alex Beard currently serves as the Chairman of High House Production Park Ltd and the Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House, a position held since August 2013. With extensive experience in the arts and culture sector, Alex was a Board Member for 14:18 NOW until November 2019 and served on the Philanthropy Programme Board for the Department of Culture Media and Sport from October 2011 to December 2017. Previously, Alex was a Trustee and Board Member for Glyndebourne Productions Limited and the Global Giving Foundation, and held the role of Deputy Director at Tate, overseeing the business operations across its galleries and directing a major capital development programme. Alex holds a BA in Classics from the University of London, obtained between 1981 and 1984, and attended Westminster School from 1978 to 1980.
