Stephen Bowden RO FRAS JP is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in astronomy and photography, currently serving as a Fellow at the Royal Astronomical Society since October 2018, where efforts focus on promoting astronomy, astrophotography, and solar physics. As a STEM Ambassador, Stephen established an astronomical observatory in the local village and is dedicated to making science engaging for all ages. With a career in astrophotography that began in February 2002, Stephen delivers tailored presentations across the UK, while also teaching various photography techniques, including general and astrophotography, at Steve's Place since October 1990. As the Owner and Founding Member of Muston Observatory, Stephen aims to provide astrophotography tuition through workshops. Stephen's earlier pursuits included amateur radio and athletics, achieving notable success in both fields. Educational qualifications include degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications from Fleetwood Nautical College.
