Amy C. Oliver, CPM, FRAS, serves as the Public & Government Affairs Officer at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, a position held since November 2018. In this role, Amy strategically enhances public affairs efforts, leading to a significant increase in media coverage. Amy is also the inaugural Director of the Scientists Taking Astronomy to Rural Schools program, aimed at supporting rural and tribal education. Additionally, Amy chairs the Outdoor Lighting Code Committee for Pima County, overseeing the revision of a complex outdoor lighting code. Amy has extensive experience in public relations, having held multiple roles in organizations such as Interdependence Public Relations and National Radio Astronomy Observatory. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Museum Studies and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Diversity Equity & Inclusivity.
