David Smith currently serves as the Dean of Students at The Roxbury Latin School, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, David was a History Teacher and Dorm Head at Woodberry Forest School from August 2021 to June 2022, and held dual roles as Dean of Students and Humanities Teacher at St. Anne's-Belfield School from August 2016 to June 2021. David's academic credentials include a PhD candidacy (ABD) in US History from the University of Virginia, a Master of Theological Studies in American Religious History from Harvard Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from William & Mary.
