Charles Hebbert is a seasoned professional in the fields of editing, translation, and writing, currently serving as Chief Subeditor at The Tablet since 2015. With extensive freelance experience dating back to 1999, Charles has worked as a Hungarian Translator, author, and journalist. Additional roles include Subeditor positions at major publications such as The Independent, The Observer, and GUARDIAN MEDIA GROUP PLC, alongside a significant tenure in translation and copy editing at Absolute Translations and Open Society Foundations. As a travel writer for Rough Guides, Charles has also contributed to various editorial projects across multiple platforms.
