Junyi (April) Zhang is a skilled background painter and designer with extensive experience in the animation industry. Currently employed at Walt Disney Animation Studios since November 2023, Junyi contributes as a Background Painter. Previous roles include Background and Props Designer for various projects at Rough Draft Studios, Inc., such as "Futurama," "Disenchantment," and "Fired on Mars." Junyi has also worked as a Concept Artist at FunPlus and held creative positions at DreamEast Pictures, L.A. Web, Animaticmedia, and Second Star Group. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor's degree in 2D Animation from the China Academy of Art.
