Melanie Powell is an experienced professional in regeneration and cultural development, currently serving as Regeneration Manager at Rother District Council since May 2004, where key achievements include leading a successful £19m cultural Levelling Up Bid. Prior roles at the council involved developing projects focused on economic, environmental, and social prosperity, as well as cultural and arts initiatives. Melanie also holds a Fellowship with The RSA and has prior experience as Shepway Arts Officer at Kent County Council and Exhibitions Officer at Hastings Borough Council. Melanie's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Politics from the University of Southampton and a Master of Arts in Museum & Gallery Management from City, University of London.
