An expert in mechanical engineering by trade, Bob Madigan started out as Technical Director / Quality Engineer. He worked as a supplier to a global automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). His customers came from global OEMs in the automotive industry. Even though the company was smaller at that time, Bob used the technology they developed to grow the business to a global scale. With the world-class quality system they offered, their associates could automate machines and robots.
After his successes with automotive OEMs, Bob moved on to the medical device industry. He mentioned that the reason for this new direction was “the chance to improve the health and the quality of life of people around the globe”.
Bob became the Director of Global Sales and Marketing. He had the task of leading a team of 11 people and he was part of the management reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Besides his marketing and sales related occupations, Bob was involved in capital and human resource planning, as well as pricing.
