Zane Burtnyk has extensive work experience in the broadcasting industry. Zane started their career in 1993 as a freelance cameraman, audio technician, lighting specialist, and editor, providing professional broadcast services to various clients. Zane worked with prominent media organizations such as CTV News, Global TV, Omni, CBC Sports, TSN, and more. Additionally, they worked with independent production companies and international broadcasters like Discovery and ABC Sports.
In 1999, Zane joined CTV Ottawa as an ENG Cameraman on a part-time/freelance basis, eventually being hired full-time in 2007. During their time at CTV Ottawa, they operated ENG/EFP cameras, performed video editing, handled lighting, and worked in field production.
From 2002 to 2006, Zane also worked for Rogers Sportsnet as an ENG/EFP Cameraman and Editor.
In 2019, they joined Ross Video as a Product Verification Specialist - Robotics.
Throughout their career, Zane has acquired a diverse skill set in camera operation, audio engineering, lighting setup, editing, and various other aspects of broadcast production.
