Mike Freeston started their career as an Engineer at Newbridge Networks Corporation in 1989. Mike then became a Technical Leader (hardware) at Cisco Systems in 1999 and held this position until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Freeston worked as a Hardware Developer at Corsa Technology. Mike then joined Nokia in 2017 as a Hardware Developer and remained in this role until 2020. Currently, Freeston is working as a Hardware and FPGA Developer at Ross Video since November 2020.

Mike Freeston completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Carleton University from the year 1986 to 1990.
