Laurent Gonzalez's work experience begins in 2001 as a Software Engineer at Silicomp Research Institute, where they contributed to various projects involving Linux and eCos real-time operating systems. Laurent then worked as a Software Engineer at Metrowerks in 2004, gaining experience in the compiler and DSP field. From 2005 to 2008, they were a Core Team Leader at Trango Virtual Processors, responsible for developing and maintaining a hypervisor for ARMv5 based processors, and overseeing a team. Laurent joined VMware in 2008 as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and stayed until 2010. From 2010 to 2021, they worked as an independent Senior Embedded Software Engineer, providing services to companies of all sizes and specializing in open-source integration, low-power devices, and software architecture for micro-controllers. Currently, Laurent is a Senior Software Developer at Ross Video, where they lead a small multi-disciplinary team in building new signal processing products for live production, with a focus on increasing processing density and reducing costs.
