Anthony Weicker has a diverse and extensive work experience. Anthony started their career at Alcatel-Lucent as a Software Designer in 1996 and eventually became a Senior Software Designer. Anthony then served as a Senior Software Designer at BlackBerry from August 1996 to May 2003. At BlackBerry, Anthony later took on the role of Senior Software Process Engineer, where they led projects, developed a successful Scrum Training & Coaching Program, and facilitated workshops for internal teams. Anthony was then promoted to the role of Senior Project Manager, where they successfully managed the development of the Maps application on BB10. Anthony grew a project management team and delivered the project on time. Anthony also worked as the Chief Software Integrator and Process Improvement Team Leader at Alcatel-Lucent, where they represented the Ottawa site in process improvement activities and performed process capability checks. Anthony attended industry conferences to research software development management practices. Anthony is currently working as the Director of R&D Operations at Ross Video, a position they have held since January 2016.
Anthony Weicker earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Software from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada, which they attended from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance. Anthony also obtained certifications from Pragmatic Institute, such as PMC Levels I-VII, Pragmatic Certified Product Marketer, and Pragmatic Certified Product Manager. Furthermore, they received their Professional Engineers Ontario accreditation from PEO - Professional Engineers Ontario in December 2001.
