Andrei Melnikov has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Andrei started their career at Gazprom as a Drilling Engineer, where they worked their way up to the role of Drilling Supervisor. Andrei then joined British Gas & Agip as a Technical Consultant for the Karachaganak field development. After that, they worked at TengizChevrOil as a Logistics Engineer, where they developed new supplies ordering systems for the TCO project. Andrei then joined Schlumberger as a Business Development Manager & Marketing Director, where they held various high-profile positions across different countries. Following that, they worked at TNK-BP as a Drilling Performance Manager and later as the Wellwork Planning & Performance Director. Currently, they are working at Rosneft, where they started as an O&G Production Performance Manager and progressed to become the O&G Production Performance Division Head. Currently, they hold the position of Sidetracking Division Deputy Head.
Andrei Melnikov's education history begins in 1983 when they enrolled at Groznenskiy Nefteyanoi Institut im. akademika M. D. Millionchikova. Andrei pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degree in Drilling Engineering, completing their studies in 1990. Following this, Andrei attended the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained a degree in Strategic Marketing from the Chicago GSB. In 2012, Andrei furthered their education by attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), specifically MIT Sloan Executive Education. During this period, they focused on Operating Management and Continuous Improvement, culminating in a thesis project.
